Introduction of who we are:

In the Spring of 1997 A committee of five older adult members of Highland organized an Older Adult Ministry.  Older Adult Ministry is organized so that those older adult members with gifts have a structure for helping those older adult members with needs.  The day to day operation of Highland's Older Adult Ministry was done through committees such as special caring, problem solving and social.

Current Activites:

A History of Happy Highlanders:

In July of 1997 the social part of Highland's Older Adult Ministry was named "Happy Highlanders".  They meet the third Tuesday of each month for a sack lunch program.  The Happy Highlanders also go on many excurisons to plays, museums, festivals and sight seeing tours.  All older adult members and friends are welcome to attend all activities.  This is a ministry that is lots of fun and a way to get to know and care for our fellow church members.
